Sprague® Orange Drop Tone Capacitor .047uF
The Sprague® Orange Drop .047 Microfarad tone capacitor is the highest quality tone capacitor of its type available. The audio grade polypropylene dielectric material provides a smooth transition of tone with no sonic impurities. These are not a low-grade polyester capacitors and shouldn't be confused with lesser quality capacitors. The .047 cap value is commonly associated with single coil guitar pickups and commonly used with the tone circuits for Strat® or Tele® guitars and other manufacturers using similar pickup designs. Can be used with other pickup types if you desire more highs cut or are attempting to have a unique and darker tone.
