Each channel is equipped with a 4‑band EQ, derived from the DJM‑V10, letting you shape lows, low‑mids, high‑mids and highs independently. The 60 mm long‑throw faders, borrowed from the DJM‑V10‑LF, give you very fine control when layering multiple tracks. The new Soft Mix curve gently reduces high frequencies at the start of the fader travel, making blends smoother and more natural to the ear.
6 Send FX and 3 filter types
A dedicated send knob on each channel lets you route the signal to 6 onboard effects: Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer, Tape Echo, PingPong and Echo‑Verb. The time parameter is BPM‑aware but can be adjusted smoothly, so you can place FX precisely in the phrasing of your track. For filters, the DJM‑V5 offers low‑pass and high‑pass modes plus a new cross‑pass filter that keeps the low‑end energy while focusing processing on the mids and highs, helping musical phrases and vocals stand out without breaking the groove.
SonicLink ultra‑low‑latency wireless monitoring
The built‑in SonicLink transmitter enables ultra‑low‑latency wireless monitoring with compatible headphones. Pairing is straightforward via a dedicated button or NFC, helping to keep the booth cleaner and less cluttered by cables while maintaining tight sync between your actions and the sound you hear.
Refined 96 kHz / 32‑bit sound design
The entire signal path has been tuned for a warm, detailed and high‑resolution sound. 32‑bit converters are used for both A/D and D/A conversion, ensuring consistent audio quality on the Master, Booth, Send and Rec outputs, as well as on the return input for external effects. The result is a sound character close to the DJM‑V10, in a compact 3‑channel mixer.
Pro DJ Link, Link Cue and software integration
With Pro DJ Link support, the DJM‑V5 can sync up with compatible players and Rekordbox so you can lock FX and filters to the track’s BPM and trigger them at exactly the right moment. Link Cue lets you preview tracks without loading them to a deck and move through the waveform of the currently playing track. Over USB‑C, the mixer integrates into modern workflows with Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, including DVS use depending on your license.
